Pegors claims 2025 NCBWA All-Central Region 1st team honors

RUSSELLVILLE, AR – University of Mary outfielder Isaac Pegors continues to make his mark on the Marauders baseball record book as the sophomore earned a spot on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-Central Region first team. Pegors becomes just the first Marauders ballplayer to earn NCBWA first team recognition.
 
The first Marauder to earn Northern Sun Baseball Player of the Year honors, Pegors set single season school records for home runs and runs batted in. The All-NSIC 1st team outfielder bashed 18 home runs and drove in 65 runs this season in 47 games. He hit .398 with a .492 on base percentage and a slugging percentage of .795. Among his 64 hits were 10 doubles. He also scored 42 runs and stole four bases.
 
In addition to his impressive numbers at the plate, the Bismarck, ND, native didn't commit an error in the field, posting a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000 with 73 putouts and two assists while playing right field.
 
Pegors led the NSIC in home runs, slugging percentage and OPS (1.287) and finished in the top four in batting average, on base percentage and RBIs. He had two walk-off hits, including a grand slam to clinch a playoff berth for UMary. He reached base in 45 of 47 games, posted hits in 36 games and registered 20 multi-hit games.
 
In NCAA Division II Pegors ranks 20th in RBIs/game (1.38), 20th in slugging  percentage, 21st in HR/game (.38), 22nd in home runs and 57th in batting average.
 
Pegors is the fourth UMary player to earn NCBWA all-region honors, joining Mark Schommer (2nd team relief pitcher 2024), Cal James (2023 honorable mention third base) and Jonathan Draheim (2023 honorable mention starting pitcher).
