UMary finishes 10th at NSIC Championship, Neva climbs to 16th

SMITHVILLE, MO – The University of Mary women's golf team closed out the year with a 10th place finish at the NSIC Championship. In her first year with the Marauders, freshman Annie Neva led the way individually in 16th place.

Neva moved up eight spots on the final day, nearly matching her terrific second round score. She totaled a 78 (+6) on Sunday, one stroke shy of her Saturday mark. After 54 holes of play, Neva had a 241 (+25) to place 16th.

To put the freshman's comeback into perspective after her difficult Friday, Neva had the worst first round score of any golfer in the top 32 and yet finished 16th.
