UMary men’s golf claims best conference finish since 2007 at NSIC Championship

BLUE SPRINGS, MO – The University of Mary men's golf team excelled on day 3 of the NSIC Championship, moving up one more spot in the standings to secure a 6th-place finish. That is the best placement in the conference in 18 years for the Marauders (UMary did not have a men's golf team from 2010 through 2020).

Individually, Evan Booth closed out a consistently strong tournament with a 73 (+1) in the final round bringing his total score to 218 (+2).

Unfortunately, Booth missed out on All-Tournament honors by just one stroke, finishing 6th. It is the best individual finish for UMary since Brad Shetler placed 6th in 2007.

Gavin Argent rebounded from a difficult round 2 by moving up six spots on the leaderboard with an even par 72. The senior captain totaled a 223 (+7) across the 54 holes, placing 17th. It is his first time finishing in the top 20 at the NSIC Championship.

Quinn Breidenbach was superb on Saturday, moving up eight spots to 21st with a 71 (-1) on the final day. The freshman's total was 225 (+9).

Lucas Greenlun remained in 34th on day 3 following a 78 (+6) to bring his total to 233 (+17). Aiden Knodel contributed to the team total on day 3 with a 77 (+5), moving up two spots to 41st with a 242 (+26).
