LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ – The UMary women's golf team played for the first time since October, opening their spring season with the SMSU Challenge in Arizona.
UMary improved by 14 strokes from day 1 to day 2, finishing with a 742 (+182). Round 1 was a score of 378 (+98), with a 364 (+84) in round 2.
Individually,
Carrie Carmichael led the way with a 171 (+31). She was consistent on both days, with an 85 in round 1 and an 86 in round 2. The junior placed 27
th overall.
Abby Thelen followed in 56
th with a 186 (+46).
Annie Neva was a few spots behind her with a 191 (+51), landing in 62
nd. Rounding out the team scoring was
Grace Stroh with a 194 (+54) in 64
th.
