SMITHVILLE, MO – The University of Mary women's golf team battled tough weather conditions to finish in seventh place at the 2024 NSIC Championships for the second straight season.
UMary was consistent throughout the tournament as the team shot 333 on day one, 335 on day two, and 337 on day three.
Carrie Carmichael was the Marauders top performer as she shot a 239 (81-77-81) over 54 holes of golf to finish in a tie for 14
th place.
Emily St. Aubin shot a 253 (78-90-85) for the tournament and earned a tie for 30
th place.
Grace Stroh finished in a tie for 39
th place after shooting a combined score of 258 (87-85-86). Following Stroh was
Anna Graveline, who shot 259 (89-84-86) over three days to take 41
st place.
Abby Thelen rounded out the scoring for UMary as she shot a 261 (87-89-85) to finish in 44
th place.
"We had a good run in tough conditions. Grateful for this team and their perseverance this season," said head coach
Marion Hernandez.
Augustana University won the NSIC Championship with a team score of 910.
Following the Vikings were Winona State University (939), Minnesota State University, Mankato (947), Wayne State College (953), Concordia University, St. Paul (974), Southwest Minnesota State University (1004), UMary (1005), University of Sioux Falls (1008), Minot State University (1012), University of Minnesota Crookston (1028), Bemidji State University (1081) and Minnesota State University Moorhead (1099).
