HUDSON, WI – The University of Mary women's golf team will head to Wisconsin to take part in the Maverick/Golden Bear Fall Brawl. The tournament will begin tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. from Troy Burne Golf Course.
All NSIC women's golf programs besides Augustana will be competing at the tournament.

LAST TIME OUT
It was a strong start to the year for UMary as the Marauders placed 3
rd at the Tracy Lane Memorial Golf Tournament.
Annie Neva finished in a tie for the best score, but placed second due to a tiebreaker.
Carrie Carmichael was not too far behind, placing 4
th at the tournament. Debuting freshmen
Sydney Miller and
Demi Bolin placed 11th and 20th, respectively.
LAST TIME IN HUDSON
The Marauders last competed at Troy Burne Golf Course in 2023, placing 6
th.
Carrie Carmichael and
Abby Thelen are the two competitors from that year's tournament that are still on the roster. Carmichael finished 6
th individually to lead the charge for the Marauders that year.
LOOKING BACK
The Marauders ended the year with a 10
th place finish at the NSIC Championships. Then-freshman
Annie Neva led the way with a 16
th-place finish. Following her was
Carrie Carmichael (32
nd),
Grace Stroh (41
st), and
Abby Thelen (49
th).
As a result of her strong performance, Neva was named UMary's NSIC Athlete to Watch. Neva started her collegiate career very impressively with three consecutive top-5 finishes.
GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Following her stellar performance at the Tracy Lane Memorial Invitational, sophomore
Annie Neva was named the NSIC Co-Golfer of the Week. Neva had the lowest round of any golfer in the tournament and claimed the fourth top-5 finish of her young career.
PRESEASON POLL
UMary was ranked 9
th in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Marauders return most of their roster, with Stroh being the only player from the conference championship squad that is no longer with the team.
NEW FACES
Demi Bolin and
Sydney Miller were added to the team this year as first-year players. Bolin was an All-Conference golfer in Indiana. Miller was an All-State team captain of the Minnesota Class AA state champions, Detroit Lakes High School.
