SMITHVILLE, MO –
Carrie Carmichael was stellar for the University of Mary women's golf team on day two of the NSIC Championships as UMary is in sixth place heading into the final day of the tournament.
Carmichael shot an outstanding +5 on day two, giving her a total score of 158 (81-77) and putting her in a tie for 11
th place.
Emily St. Aubin sits in a tie for 29
th place after posting a two-day score of 168 (78-90).
Grace Stroh finished day two in a tie for 36
th after recording a score of 173 (87-85) over the first two days of the tournament.
Anna Graveline shot an 84 on day two to move her in a tie for 39
th place.
Finishing off the Marauders lineup was
Abby Thelen, who is in a tie for 44
th place after shooting 176 over two days.
"It was a good all-around team performance today. We kept steady all day and are still in it," said head coach
Marion Hernandez.
Augustana University leads the competition after day two with a team score of 610. Following the Vikings are Winona State University (613), Minnesota State University, Mankato (623), Wayne State College (639), Concordia University, St. Paul (660), UMary (668), Minot State University (672), Southwest Minnesota State University (672), University of Sioux Falls (677), University of Minnesota Crookston (683), Bemidji State University (734) and Minnesota State University Moorhead (743).
The Marauders return for the final day of the NSIC Women's Golf Championships in Smithville, MO, on Sunday, April 28, with tee times set for 9 am.
