LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ - The University of Mary women's golf team recorded a ninth-place finish out of 12 teams at the SMSU Challenge after posting a total team score of 680.

"This tournament performance was solid, but there's always room for improvement. We are already analyzing areas for improvement. Every round is a learning experience, and we're committed to refining our skills for the next tournaments," said UMary head coach Marion Hernandez.

Carrie Carmichael placed in a tie for 24^th as the sophomore shot 78 on day one and 83 on day two to give her a two-day score of 161.

Emily St. Aubin improved tremendously on day two, shooting an 80 after posting an 88 on day one as she finished 40^th.

Abby Thelen tied for 50^th after the Avon, MN, native recorded a total score of 174. Grace Stroh took 56^th with a combined score of 177.

Finishing off the UMary lineup was Anna Graveline, who grabbed 64^th with a two-day score of 185.

The Marauders return to the golf course next month at the Augustana Spring Invite from April 8-9 in Sioux Falls, SD at the Elmwood Golf Course.
