LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ - Carrie Carmichael leads the way for the University of Mary women's golf team as UMary takes ninth place out of 12 teams after shooting a combined score of 672 at the SMSU Spring Invitational.

Carmichael finished in a tie for 27th after the Williston, ND, native shot 81 on day one and 79 on day two for a combined score of 160.

Abby Thelen placed in a tie for 39th after posting a two-day score of 166. Grace Stroh took 53rd as the Bismarck, ND, native shot 172 over the two days.

Emily St. Aubin would take 54th place after she recorded a total score of 174. Rounding out the UMary lineup was Anna Graveline (181), who finished in a tie for 62nd place.

"We started off slow but got back with improving our final day scoring. We have to find a way to limit the bigger scores, which I think we will," said UMary women's golf coach Marion Hernandez.

The Marauders remain in Litchfield Park, AZ, to take part in the SMSU Challenge from March 7-8 tee times are scheduled for 9:40 am.
