FARGO, ND – The University of Mary tennis team remains undefeated against Northern Sun competition as the Marauders swept the University of Minnesota Duluth 7-0.
The competition opened with UMary (5-4, 4-0 NSIC) winning all three doubles matches over UMD (1-6, 1-4 NSIC), giving them one team point. The team of

Ilona Freitag won 6-3 over Shay Callaway and Abby Johnson in #1 doubles.
Hala Hossam Awad and
Maria Estinvil shut out Lilly Nelson and Brynne Folden 6-0 in #2 doubles.
Emily Needham and
Luba Moyo defeated Olivia Honsey and Courtney Eppen 6-3 in #3 doubles.
Chloe Chong took down Shay Callaway 6-2, 6-4 in #1 singles.
Hala Hossam Awad dominated in #2 singles, winning 6-0, 6-2 over Abby Johnson.
Ilona Freitag defeated Carly Chaney 6-3, 6-0 in #3 singles.
Maria Estinvil shut out Olivia Honsey 6-0, 6-0 in #4 singles.
Emily Needham returned to win in #5 singles 6-2, 6-1 over Lilly Nelson.
Luba Moyo won a tough battle over Brynn Chaffee 6-1, 2-6, 1-0 in #6 singles.

The Marauders travel to Sioux Falls, SD, to challenge the University of Sioux Falls on April 6. UMary was scheduled to take on St. Cloud State University on Sunday, March 24, but the match has been postponed due to inclement weather.
