UNION LAKE, MI – The University of Mary is holding steady at #8 in the American College Hockey Association Men's Division I National Rankings. After starting the season at #11 in the preseason coaches' poll, the Marauders have checked in at #8 in the first two regular season polls.
UMary is 7-2-0-0-0 overall this season and 6-2-0-0-0 against ACHA MD1 opposition.
The Marauders are 4-2-0-0-0 when playing a nationally-ranked team, sweeping 2-game series from #25 Iowa State University and #18 Illinois State University while losing single games to #3 Minot State University and #6 University of Jamestown.
This weekend UMary plays at #19 Missouri State, meaning eight of the Marauders first ten ACHA MD1 games this season are against ranked teams.
The first polls of the season are determined by votes of the coaches. The computer rankings commence November 1 and will determine the 24 teams that qualify for the 2025 ACHA Men's Division I National Championships, in addition to eight league champions.
The third ranking of the regular season will be released on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
