BEMIDJI, MN - The University of Mary Women's Golf team opened play on the 2023-24 season at the Tracy Lane Memorial Tournament. Hosted by Bemidji State University at the beautiful Bemidji Town & Country Club, the UMary women showcased their talents over two days of intense golfing in a field of strong competitors.

Led by Head Coach
Marion Hernandez, the Marauders demonstrated their determination and passion on the golf course. Despite the tough competition, they gained valuable experience that will undoubtedly benefit them in future tournaments.

One of the standout performers for UMary was
Carrie Carmichael. She exhibited skill and composure, slicing six strokes off her opening day score to finish with a 164 (85-79 / +20) to claim a respectable tie for the 13th position. Carmichael's consistent performance was a key factor in UMary's efforts during the tournament.

Other notable UMary players included
Grace Stroh, who showed resilience throughout the competition, finishing tied for 36th with a score of 185 (87-97 / +41).
Abby Thelen also contributed with a score of 187 (92-96 / +43), landing her in a tie for 40th.
Anna Graveline rounded out the Marauders team scoring (93-99-192).

Coach Hernandez expressed his pride in the team's determination and the lessons they've learned from this tournament. UMary will continue to work hard, hone their skills, and strive for even better results in upcoming events.
