ST. CLOUD, MN –
Ally Gruber delivered nine kills for the University of Mary as the Marauders opened their last road trip of the season against anther nationally-ranked team. After facing the nation's top ranked team in their previous outing, the Marauders visited #6 St. Cloud State on Friday and left with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-17) loss to the Huskies.
The Marauders season leader in kills, Gruber hit .217 on the night and also added seven digs.
Alexandria Harper had another solid night in the middle for UMary. The junior middle blocker had five kills and misfired just once for a .364 attack percentage. She also had a pair of block assists.
Kai Sueker was again sold on the back line. She had a team best 13 digs.
Kenzie Foley led SCSU with 24 kills, hit .618 and added ten digs.
The Marauders wrap up the road portion of their 2023 schedule with a 2 pm match at Minnesota State University in Mankato, MN, on Saturday, November 4.
