KEARNEY, NEB – The #9 ranked University of Mary wrestling team is set to compete in the largest collegiate wrestling tournament of the year at the UNK Younes Hospitality Open, hosted by University of Nebraska Kearney. The event begins on Saturday, November 18, at 9 am in Nebraska Kearney.
The Marauders are sending 18 wrestlers to the open, with five wrestling unattached.
Kaden DeCoteau looks to continue his strong start to the season after the freshman took home first place in the 141-pound weight class at the DWU open.
The event is open to all wrestlers who have finished high school, with over 700 wrestlers expected to compete in the event. The open features wrestlers from NCAA Division 1, Division II, NAIA and junior colleges.
Last season seven Marauders placed at the 2022 UNK Younes Hospitality Open, including
Wyatt Lidberg and
Luke Tweeton, who will compete again this year.
