Earned All-American status after taking fifth at the 2023 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships. Punched his ticket to nationals after finishing third at the NCAA DII Super Regional V… Took third at the Yellowjacket Open… Recorded a 4

2022 (Sophomore)
Earned a spot in the 2022 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships after placing third at the NCAA DII Super Regional V… Did not place at Nationals…  Won the Copper Open… Took 4
th in the Bison Open… Recorded a 4
th place finish at the Younes Hospitality Open 2021. Compiled a 28-11 record.
2021 (Redshirt Freshman)
Matt was the man at 197 lbs for the 2021 season. He compiled a 4-4 record with one major decision.
He was a Super Regional V Semifinalist. Matt was also voted as Freshman of the Year by his
coaches and teammates.

2020 (Redshirt)
Matt
redshirted this season and competed at 197 lbs. He earned an 8-6 record in his first season. He was crowned champion at the Dragon Open, 3rd place at the Jimmie Open, and 5th at the Cobber Open. Matt tallied two major decisions, two technical falls, and one pin on the year.

He is a Bismarck native who attends Legacy High School. Matt has ties to Marauders Wrestling through NCAA DI All-American and University of Mary Wrestling Volunteer Assistant CoachÂ
Steven Monk who coaches and teaches at Legacy High School.
A multi-sport athlete, he has earned four letters in both football and wrestling, as well as being selected as 1st Team All-Conference as a defensive end. Kaylor has proven his leadership skills, being named captain of the wrestling team five times, and captain of the football team as a senior. Success on the mat has been shown throughout his 159 win high school career through is junior year. At the state level,
Kaylor has become a four-time medalist for the Sabers, including finishes at 8th in 2015, 3rd in 2016, 2nd in 2017, and winning an individual Class A championship in 2018 as a Junior. At the national level,
Kaylor has become a two-time Fargo Greco-Roman All-American, placing 8th as a cadet wrestler and 4th in the junior age division. He has received national recognition in 2018 by being ranked 17th in the nation at the 195 pound weight class by
Flowrestling to start the season. The 195 lbs wrestler is ranked #1 in North Dakota Class A.
Kaylor is projected to compete for the Marauders at 197.
