Minnesota Crookston finished the fourth set on a 6-1 run to earn a 25-18 win and even the match.

In the fifth and final set, the Marauders found themselves down 10-7 before running off four straight points to retake the lead 11-10, the last point delivered on a kill from Gruber.

Another run by UMC put UMary's hopes for a win in a bind. Showing their steely resolve, the Marauders ran off the final four points of the night to claim the deciding set 15-13. Kills by Robi Binagi and Harper and an ace by Gruber finished the UMary rally.
