Bismarck, ND - The University of Mary women's golf team continued to shine as they hosted the Marauders Fall Tournament at the Hawktree Golf Course in Bismarck, ND. The team displayed their skills and determination on their home turf, making the tournament a memorable event for both the players and the spectators as
Carrie Carmichael was the top overall finisher while the Marauders finished second in the team standings.

Carrie Carmichael, the team's leader, maintained her exceptional form to earn her the medalist honors for the event. Carmichael finished the tournament just eight shots over par with a 2-day total of 152 after firing rounds of 73 and 79. She ran away with the tournament by six strokes over the runner-up. The Williston, ND, native's outstanding performance was a significant contributor to the team's second-place finish.

UMary, with a total score of 674, secured the second-place team finish, just behind Minot State (647).

Marion Hernandez shared his thoughts on the team's performance, stating, "We had a good run at this tournament. It was a solid effort as we hoped to win our home meet back-to-back years. We held our composure out and proved enough for Carrie to get medalist honors and a 2nd place team finish. We're thankful to Hawktree for hosting the event and to the spectators for coming out and supporting all teams. We're looking forward to a strong finish for the fall at next week's tournament."
