BISMARCK, ND – After a smashing success last weekend in Minot, ND, the #14 University of Mary Wrestling team (10-1, 3-0 NSIC) returns home to host a pair of high stakes duals. The Marauders take on #7 University of Wisconsin-Parkside (6-0, 4-0 NSIC) for their military appreciation dual, Friday, January 27 at 7 pm. UMary will then take on #10 Upper Iowa University (8-2, 4-0 NSIC) in the MAC for a 4 pm showdown on Saturday, January 28.
In honor of those who serve in the armed forces, the Marauders will sport military-themed singlets during their match on Friday with the Rangers. Those who served will receive free admission if they show their military ID.
Saturday night against Upper Iowa will also be a "White Out" theme so students and fans are encouraged to pack the MAC dressed in white.
Friday night's dual against UW-Parkside will be sponsored by Arrow Service Team and Dakota Community Bank & Trust will be Saturday's dual sponsor against Upper Iowa. Both sponsors are offering complimentary tickets to their respective duals while supplies lasts.

UW-PARKSIDE
Previously no. 9 UW-Parkside upset the previously no. 3 St. Cloud State on Thursday, January 12. UW-Parkside has now jumped to no. 7 in the NWCA Coaches Poll while SCSU dropped down to no. 5. The Rangers dished the Huskies their first home loss since 2010 and their first NSIC conference loss since 2011. The Rangers also cut the 88-straight conference win streak for St. Cloud State. UW-Parkside has 6 nationally ranked wrestlers with #5 Shane Corrigan at 125 pounds, #10 Cayden Henschel at 141, #6 Jalen Spuhler at 149, #12 Ben Durocher at 157, #1 Shane Gantz at 165, and #9 Reece Worachek at 184.
UPPER IOWA UNIVERSITY
The no. 10 ranked Peacocks come into the weekend off of two powerful wins over Augustana University and Southwest Minnesota State University. Upper Iowa has four nationally ranked wrestlers, #4 Tate Murty at 141 pounds, #2 Chase Luensman at 165, #8 Dalton Hahn at 197, and #10 Zach Ryg at 285.
CURRENT STANDINGS
UW-Parkside ranks no. 1 in the NSIC, Upper Iowa follows in the no. 2 position and UMary tracks next ranking no. 3. This weekend, the Marauders have the potential to catapult to the no. 1 spot in the Northern Sun for the first time in program history.
