RUNNING AHEAD
The Marauders have never trailed this season nor been tied after posting the opening goal in all three games. UMary has had 2-0 leads in all three games. In the Emporia State game the Hornets didn't score until the 81st minute, the first goal allowed by UMary this season.

OLSEN NAMED NSIC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
A decisive goal combined with impressive work on the back line in a win over a nationally-ranked opponent earned University of Mary junior Eli Olsen Northern Sun Defensive Player of the Week honors. Olsen scored what proved to be the winning goal in the Marauders 2-1 win over 14th ranked Emporia State University. The defender from Buffalo, WY, crushed a shot from 45 yards out that sailed just under the crossbar. Olsen's first career goal for the Marauders doubled the UMary lead to 2-0. A transfer from NCAA Division I Charleston Southern, Olsen also keyed a Marauders defensive effort that helped contain the Hornets attack. ESU managed 12 shots on goal with nine on frame. The Hornets were unable to dent the Marauder net until the 81st minute of play.

BACK TO BACK
Marauders have earned both of the NSIC Defensive Player of the Week honors awarded this season. Mary Meeks claimed the honor in week one after scoring a goal and leading the Marauders to a pair of shutout wins. Eli Olsen claimed the conference defensive honor for week 2 after scoring a goal in he Marauders 2-1 win over #14 Emporia State.

WALTMAN SETS UMARY CAREER SHUTOUT RECORD
Madisyn Waltman set the Marauders career shutout record in the UMary season-opening 2-0 win over Black Hills State. It was the 26th career clean sheet for Waltman. A starter since opening day of her freshman season in 2028, the 2-time All-Northern Sun performer made four saves in the game as the Marauders defense kept the Yellow Jackets attack in check all game.
