Jones homers twice as UMary breaks season record in NSIC tournament-opening loss to Augie

UPDATE | Marauders to play Minot State at 12 noon on Thursday, May 12, at Ronken Field in Sioux Falls, SD, on Day 2 of the 2022 NSIC Tournament.

SIOUX FALLS, SD – University of Mary center fielder Ty Jones crushed a pair of home runs in the opening game of the 2022 Northern Sun baseball tournament to help the Marauders break the single season team record for round trippers. Despite Jones' efforts, UMary was unable to match the power displayed by #18 Augustana. The NSIC champion and top-seeded Vikings hit five home runs in a 19-2 win over the 8th seeded Marauders.

All-NSIC first baseman Derek Shoen added three hits for UMary in a game delayed over three hours due to a combination of lightning and rain.
