SIOUX FALLS, SD – The University of Mary softball team fell in both of their games in the Marauders doubleheader against the University of Sioux Falls
GAME 1 University of Sioux Falls 15 University of Mary 0
UMary failed to record a hit in game one of the doubleheader. USF grabbed four runs in the first inning and never looked back. The Cougars would go on to add nine runs in the third inning and two runs in the fourth inning giving USF a 15-0 win.

The Marauders offense got off to a better start in the second game as UMary took a 1-0 lead after Kaylee Kannegiesser drew a bases-loaded walk to bring home Mariah Sanchez. USF responded by scoring four runs in the bottom of the third inning which gave the Cougars a 4-1 lead. Devyn Ritz cut into the USF lead after she hit a solo home run to left-center in the fourth inning.
PIVOT POINT
The Cougars took control of the game as USF scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. The game was called after the Cougars scored four runs in the fifth inning which gave USF an 11-2 win.

The Marauders (6-25, 5-13 Northern Sun) will travel to take on Southwest Minnesota State University in a doubleheader on Monday at 12 pm in Marshall, MN.
