Abbreviated schedule draws to close for Marauders

BISMARCK, ND – Despite generating multiple scoring opportunities, the University of Mary was unable to find the equalizer in an exhibition game against visiting Northern State University to close out a season of opportunities severely limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the fall season wiped out, the abbreviated spring season concluded after playing just four regulation games and two exhibitions.

The Wolves posted the lone goal of the game in the 25th minute. From there on Northern State held UMary at bay.

Limited to one shot in the first half, UMary generated six in the second half to just two by Northern State. The Marauders also had double the corner kicks of the Wolves following intermission by a count of four to two. For the game the Marauders had a 6-2 edge in corner kicks.

Seniors Emma Davies and Samantha Guzman both launched a pair of shots for UMary. Madisyn Waltman posted four saves.
