Brooke Harder pitched six innings and only surrendered two hits as the University of Mary Softball team fell to Northern State University 2-0.
NSU got on the board after Elyse Cuttic hit a solo home run to left field. A sac fly in the bottom of the third made the score 2-0.
In the top of the seventh
Eryn de Jonge reached on an infield single.
Mariah Sanchez hit a base hit to right field to give the Marauders two baserunners with two outs. UMary was unable to bring the runners home and the Marauders were defeated by the Wolves 2-0.
PIVOT POINT
UMary had chances to tie or take the lead throughout the game. Including the sixth inning where the Marauders had the bases loaded and were unable to bring in a run. UMary left a total of eight runners on base. UMary had five hits whereas NSU had two hits.
