BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary wrestling team (1-0) hosts their first dual of the season as they welcome Minnesota State University Moorhead to the McDowell Activity Center on Thursday, December 9, at 7 pm. The Marauders then travel to Minot, ND, to compete against Minot State University (0-1) on Friday, December 10, at 7 pm.
Tickets
Fans can purchase tickets online at www.UMaryTickets.com or at the gate. Adult tickets are $10 while senior citizen and youth tickets (13-18 years old) are $5. UMary students and faculty with their MCard and youth 12 and younger are admitted free.
About the Opposition
Minnesota State University has begun the season with a 0-1 record. MSUM was defeated in their only dual of the season 31-6 to Concordia College. The Dragons last competition was the Dragon Open, where seniors Braydon Ortloff (165) and Justin Dravis (174) would both finish runner-up in their respective weight classes.
Minot State University is 0-1 to begin the year. The Beavers were defeated by Northern State University 19-13 in a clash between Northern Sun opponents. MSU had two champions in the Dragon Open. Jake Swirple won the Red Division for the 285-pound weight class. Brendan Barnes won the 149-pound weight class for the White Division.
Last Time Out
The Marauders were dominant in their first dual of the season against Concordia College, winning 41-0.

Returners
Coming off an All-American season last year,
Braydon Huber was named the University of Mary wrestling team's Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Athlete to Watch. Huber earned All-Conference honors after finishing eighth in the NCAA Championships at 165 pounds.
Max Bruss also qualified for the NCAA Championships at 174 pounds but fell just short of All-American status, losing two matches by just one point.
Other notable returners include Dom Tudor and
Matthew Kaylor, who both placed at the NCAA Division II Super Regional V tournament.
