FAYETTE, IA –The University of Mary volleyball team (6-20, 3-13 Northern Sun) showed resiliency as they were defeated by Upper Iowa University (18-8, 11-6 NSIC).
UIU got out to an early lead in the first set and never looked back, winning 25-17. The Peacocks would continue their great play in the second set as they defeated the Marauders 25-12.
UMary continued to battle hard in the third set. After trailing 16-3, the Marauders would cut the lead to 24-19 before UIU finished the game off with a kill from Maggie Streightiff.
