KEARNEY, NE –
Max Bruss would finish runner-up as the University of Mary wrestling team competed in the UNK Younes Hospitality Open hosted by the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Max Bruss would take second place in the 174-pound weight class in the Elite Division. Bruss fell to Baker University's Isaiah Luellen in a close contest via a 6-5 decision.
Braydon Huber finished in third place for the 157-pound weight class in the Elite Division. Huber won his third-place match over Colorado School of Mine's Carter Noehre by injury default.
Matthew Kaylor earned a third-place finish for the 197-pound weight class in the Elite Division. Hw would finish third after his opponent forfeited in the third-place match.
Trevor Fauver took fourth place for the 149-pound weight class in the Elite Division. Fauver was defeated in his third-place match via a medical forfeit to Colorado Mesa University's Nick Gallegos.
Laken Boese earned fifth place for the 141-pound weight class in the Elite Division. Boese would win his fifth-place match by a medical forfeit over Nebraska-Kearney's Jonathan Killingsworth.
Jaden Verhagen would take fourth place in the 125-pound weight class in the Amateur Division. Verhagen would lose his fourth-place match to Concordia University's Thomas Ivey via a no contest.
