SIOUX FALLS, SD – The #16 University of Mary wrestling team (10-6, 6-4 NSIC) sends four student-athletes to the NCAA Division II wrestling championships in Sioux Falls, SD, on March 13-14.
Sean Solis,
Luke Tweeton,
Jacob Strausbaugh, and
Lane Ewing will each compete for a national title in their respective weight classes. Last season, UMary had three Marauders earn All-American honors, and
Reece Barnhardt became the first NCAA National Champion in program history.

Friday, March 13
10 a.m. CT | Session 1 - Championship Prelims & First Round

QUALIFIERS
Solis earned the third seed at 141 pounds. The Long Beach, CA, native has a 17-4 record this season. Solis is coming off winning the 141-pound weight class at NCAA Super Regional V. He will wrestle Shorter's Brayden Gibson in the opening round of nationals.
Tweeton is seeded seventh at heavyweight. The Frazee, MN, native owns a 24-5 record on the season. Tweeton finished runner-up at the Super Regional V. His first match of the NCAA tournament will be against the winner of Cale Gray (UIndy)/ Nathan Coley (King).
Strausbaugh is the seventh seed in the 133-pound weight class. The Soldotna, AK, native is 21-2 this season with only one loss coming to an NCAA Division II opponent. Strausbaugh placed third at the Super Regional V. Strausbaugh's first match at nationals will be against the winner of Jak Keller (Grand Valley St.)/ Drew Stanfield (Central Mo.).
Ewing is unseeded at 165 pounds and has a 28-10 record on the season. The Douglas, WY, native took second in the 165-pound weight class at the Super Regional V. Ewing's first match will be against #1 Nolan Gessler (Tiffin).
