BISMARCK, ND –The University of Mary volleyball team (6-19, 3-13 Northern Sun) fell short in a hard-fought conference matchup against Northern State University (15-9, 10-6 NSIC).
NSU jumped out to an early lead in the first set and never looked back as the Wolves would win 25-17. The Marauders were unable to gain control in the second, with NSU winning 25-17.
UMary would jump out to an early 12-7 lead in the third set. The Wolves would rally back, however, and win the set 25-18.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Nehkyah Ellis led the team in kills with seven while also earning six digs and two aces
Natalia Cruz had five kills, three digs and one block
Kameron Selvig led the team in assists with 21 while contributing six digs
Emily Torborg had five kills on 12 total attempts and two blocks
Chloe Lieser had six digs
