FARGO, ND – The University of Mary wrestling team competed in the Bison Open hosted by North Dakota State University along with 12 other wrestling programs.
Braydon Huber and
Matthew Kaylor both took home fourth place in their respective weight classes.
Matthew Kaylor took fourth in the 197-pound weight class. Kaylor would win his first match by a 6-0 decision and then win his second match via pinfall. Kaylor would drop his third-place match to South
Dakota State's Nick Casperson by a 14-2 major decision.
Braydon Huber earned fourth place for the 157-pound weight class. He won his first match by a 16-1 tech fall and his next match by an 8-5 decision. Huber would drop his third match to #11 Jared Franek (North Dakota State University). He would win his next contest by a 4-1 decision. Huber would lose his third-place match to South Dakota State's Cael Swanson.
Gerardo Jaime took home sixth in the 285-pound weight class. Jaime would drop his first match by an 8-1 decision. He would rally back and win his next two matches by a 3-2 decision and a 9-5 decision. Jaime would fall in his fifth-place match to the University of Minnesota's Keaton Kulver by a 4-3 tiebreaker.
Max Bruss would take sixth in the 174-pound weight class while
Leo Mushinsky would earn sixth in the 165-pound weight class.
