BISMARCK, ND –The University of Mary volleyball team (6-18, 3-12 Northern Sun) fell short in a hard-fought match to Minnesota State University Moorhead (4-19, 4-11 NSIC).
UMary grabbed an early lead as the Marauders took the first set 25-19.
Natalia Cruz had the set-winning kill on an assist from
Kameron Selvig.
MSU Moorhead would rally back and win a close second set 25-22. The Dragons would keep the momentum going in the third set as they would take another tight set 25-22.
UMary could not rally back to win the fourth set as MSU Moorhead would take it 25-16.
"We played a gritty match tonight. Playing consistently at a high level while decreasing unforced errors and runs needs to continue to be a point of growth going forward. I'm proud of this group and the work they continue to put in each week," said head coach
