MINOT, ND –The University of Mary volleyball team (6-17, 3-11 Northern Sun) earned their third straight win as they took down Minot State University (1-19, 1-13 NSIC). The Marauders were led by
Nehkyah Ellis, who had a career-high 22 kills.
UMary dropped the first set 25-21 to MSU in a close contest. The Marauders got back on track in the second set. UMary won the set 25-19, with the winning point coming on an ace from
Emily Torborg.
The Marauders would keep the momentum going as they would win a thrilling third set 26-24.
Nehkyah Ellis would get the set-winning kill on an assist from
Kameron Selvig.
UMary would close out the game in the fourth set as the Marauders would win 25-21. The set was tied 19-19, as UMary would grab six out of the next eight points, winning on an attacking error by the Beavers.
