THREE
Just three games remain. After playing at Bemidji State on Friday and hosting Minnesota Crookston on Halloween, the regular season ends at Minot State on Friday, Nov. 5.

PLAYOFFS
Currently in 5th place in the Northern Sun standings with 23 points, the Marauders clinch a spot in the NSIC tournament for a 4th straight time with a win or two ties in the last three games or a tie or loss by any two out of the trio of Wayne State College (15), Upper Iowa (15) and St. Cloud State (14).

HOME PITCH PUSH FOR PLAYOFFS
The Marauders control their own destiny in terms of hosting a game in the opening round of the NSIC tournament. Should the Marauders win their final three games UMary would host a game. UMary is currently 5th in the standings with 23 points and games remaining at Bemidji State (1st/32points), home vs. Minnesota Crookston (15th/3 points) and at Minot State (4th place/26 points). In addition to BSU and Minot State, the Marauders also trail Augustana (3rd place/29 points). Right behind the Marauders is Northern State (6th place/21 points) and Concordia-St. Paul (7th place / 20 points). The Northern Sun tournament is set to start Nov. 10.

MARAUDERS 8TH in USC CENTRAL REGION RANKINGS
The Marauders are ranked 8th in the NCAA Division II Central Region rankings released by the United Soccer Coaches on October 26.

HOME SWEET HOME
The Marauders are 4-1-2 in seven home games this season.

DEEEE – FENCE
The Marauders have allowed a paltry 15 goals in 15 games this season to rank 6th in the NSIC in both Goals allowed per game (1.0) and goals against average (0.952). Behind the power of five straight shutouts and seven total in 13 games, the Marauders rank 57th in NCAA Division II and 36th in shutout percentage (.54).

HOT HAND
Hannah Richter continued her strong offensive season, picking up another assist last weekend. The first team All-NSIC forward leads the team in points (13) and assists (5) and is tied for second in goals (4).

FRESHMEN FRENZY
Freshmen have scored nine of the Marauders 19 goals this season. Kendra Park has a team-leading 5 goals and Brianna Ramey is right behind with 4.

PARK PATROL
Freshman Kendra Park is proving to be a dangerous weapon for the Marauders, leading the Marauders with five goals. Park has the most goals by a Marauders freshman since Alex Bachman-Williams scored six in 2010. She is 8th in the NSIC in goals and 6th in game-winning goals (2).

24
Marauders goalkeeper Madisyn Waltman posted her 24th career clean sheet for UMary and 7th this season in a 0-0 draw against Northern State. She ranks second all-time in program history for shutouts. In her third season at UMary, Waltman posted eight shutouts as a freshman. She followed with nine as a sophomore in 2019 to earn All-NSIC second team honors… Kristin Werner is the Marauders career leader in shutouts with 25… Waltman, named NSIC Goalkeeper of the Week earlier this season, is 4th in the NSIC in goals against average (0.813), leads in shutouts per game (.500) and total shutouts (7), and ranks 8th in save percentage (.810).

PIERCE DOUBLES DOWN
Cassidy Pierce captured NSIC Defensive Player of the Week honors two consecutive weeks this season after the Marauders went back-to-back weekends without allowing a goal. In addition to her defensive exploits the senior captain also provided the assist on the golden goal in a 1-0 overtime victory over Winona State. She also has an assist on the game-winning goal against MSU Moorhead.

HEROICS
Five different Marauders have scored UMary's six game-winning goals this season: Hannah Richter and Kendra Park each have two and Samantha Guzman, Brianna Ramey and Maureen Sullivan have one apiece. (NOTE: There was no game-winner credited in the 3-0 win over Back Hills State as the first score was an own goal on BHSU.)

ON THE ATTACK
Junior midfielder Kayla Alcott is second on the Marauders in assists and is third on the team in points. She has four assists – including a beautiful helper on the game-winning goal at Southwest Minnesota State – to rank 7th in the NSIC. She also has a goal for six total points. The Ewa Beach, HI, native joined the Marauders from Peninsula College prior to the ill-fated 2020 season and played just three games in the spring.

GREAT 8
The Marauders 8-game unbeaten streak to start Northern Sun play was UMary's longest of the NCAA era... the six straight wins tied the Marauders longest winning streak since reeling off six straight in 2012… During the run UMary posted five straight shutouts, the most since 2007 in the Marauders run to the NCAA tournament… during the 8-game streak the Marauders allowed just three goals.

CAPTAINS
The Marauders have named five captains for the 2021 season: seniors Emma Davies, Samantha Guzman, Cassidy Pierce and Hannah Richter and junior Madisyn Waltman. Pierce and Guzman anchor the middle of the Marauders back line. Davies and Richter provide the attack on top. Waltman handles the goaltending duties. Davies, Pierce and Richter are in their fifth year at UMary and Waltman is in her fourth; all four have only played for the Marauders. Guzman is a junior college transfer in her third season at UMary. Richter, Guzman Pierce and Waltman have earned All-Northern Sun honors in their careers.

VETS
The Marauders return a veteran squad in 2021 as 13 players from their 2019 playoff team are back. Additionally 17 of the 28 Marauders were in the program last year.

ALL-NSIC
The Marauders return four of their six 2019 All-NSIC performers. Hanna Richter earned first team all-NSIC recognition at forward as one of the top scorers in the league. Madisyn Waltman claimed second team honors, Cassidy Pierce earned third team honors and Samantha Guzman received honorable mention recognition after the trio formed the core of one of the nation's best defenses.

BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK
The Marauders have earned a spot in the NSIC tournament the last three seasons (2017-18-19). This is the second-longest playoff streak for the Marauders after qualifying for seven straight years from 2006-2012.

11
The Marauders finished the 2019 regular season 11-4-2. The 11 victories is the second-most regular-season wins for the Marauders during the NCAA era, equaling 2017 and 2011 while only trailing the 14 wins the team posted in 2007.

PENINSULA POWER
The Marauders have two transfers from Peninsula College in Post Angeles, WA, once again this season, senior Samantha Guzman and junior Kayla Alcott. The Marauders also had two Peninsula players in 2019 when Malia Brudvik joined Guzman on the squad.

The Marauders have a pair of newcomers from Laramie County Community College this season in sophomore's Jessica Lemmon and Taylor Meyrick. LCCC head coach Nate Ulness is a former Marauders assistant coach and a UMary alumni.
