BISMARCK, ND –University of Mary volleyball player
Natalia Cruz earned her 1000
th career dig as UMary (3-13, 0-7 Northern Sun) fell to Augustana University (10-5, 5-2 NSIC).
Cruz ranks third all-time at UMary in digs for the NCAA era behind Alex Brown (1566) and Kendra Hobbs (1465).
The Marauders struggled in the first set, with the Viking winning 25-12. The second set would be more competitive, with both teams having success. AU would end up winning a closely contested set 25-23.
UMary fell behind in the third set and could not gather any momentum as the Viking would win 25-13.
"We are learning that we have to put our best out there for two matches each weekend. With four days to prepare for another weekend we'll continue to grow and focus on progress," said head coach
