Box Score FARGO, ND – The University of Mary tennis team wrapped up their weekend with a 7-0 sweep of Minnesota State University. The Marauders completed the weekend sweep, beginning their season 2-0. UMary was able to shutout both opponents, winning every match played.
 
The Marauders took all three doubles matches to clinch the point. The team of Dembo and Hegy earned a 6-4 win in #1 doubles. The duo of Wolf and Stoppler picked up the win in #2 doubles with a 6-1 victory. Lajom and Askvig rounded out the doubles sweep with a 6-1 win in #3 doubles.
 
Tasha Dembo has begun her 2020 campaign 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Monica Ryan.
 
Yusra Hegy cruised her way to a 6-1, 6-0 victory against Deanna Dokken in #2 singles.
 
Kelsey Lajom earned the victory with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Tyanna Washa in #3 singles.
 
Jamie Stoppler picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win in #4 singles in her first singles appearance of the season.
 
Danielle Wolf started her senior season campaign 1-0 with a 6-2, 6-2 victory in #5 singles.
 
Kali Askvig picked up the shutout with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at #6 singles.
 
The Marauders will be back in action next weekend for their home openers. The Marauders host Minnesota Crookston on Saturday, February 15 at 1 PM. They follow that up with a match against Bemidji State on Sunday, February 6 at 9 AM. Both matches will take place at Capital Racquet and Fitness Center in Bismarck.
