BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary men's soccer team returns home this week after a three-game road stretch. The Marauders will be back on the home pitch beginning on Thursday, September 19 when they take on Eastern New Mexico University at 5 PM. UMary follows that up with a game against MSU Billings on Monday, September 23 at 3 PM. Both of these games will be played on the University of Mary campus pitch.
The Marauders will look to bounce back at home after an 0-4 start to the season.
First up for the Marauders is the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds. The Greyhounds will be a tremendous test for UMary as they are ranked 17th in the nation. ENMU comes into the game against UMary with a 4-0 record, taking down #12 Fort Hays State in the process.
Following the game against ENMU, UMary takes on MSU Billings. The Yellowjackets come into the game against the Marauders with a 1-2-1 record. Their victory came over South Dakota School of Mines and Technology by a score of 4-0. Their tie came against the preseason #2 ranked team Cal Poly Pomona. The last time the Marauders beat MSUB was in 2014, in Bismarck. UMary will look to replicate the 2014 results this coming Monday.
Blake Palmquist, Tresor Mugawaneza, and Joseph Frediani all have recorded a goal on the season.
Palmquist and Stanley Joseph each have an assist on the season.
Keaton Boehm leads the team with four shots on goal. Tresor Mugawaneza leads the way with nine total shots.
