WAYNE, NE – Kaitlyn Alvarado led the way for the University of Mary, blasting a homerun and posting a double. Emma Noble joined the homerun club, sending a ball out of the park in game one. The Marauders had their hands full against #11 Augustana, dropping both games. UMary fell 12-2 in game one and 10-1 in game two.
 
With the losses today, UMary falls to 15-21 overall and 6-10 in the NSIC.

The Marauders struggled to get the bat on the ball in game one but when they made contact the ball went far. UMary accounted for two hits in the first game with both of them being homeruns. Kaitlyn Alvarado got things started with a homerun in the first inning. Emma Noble joined the party blasting a homerun of her own in the fifth inning.
 
PIVOT POINT
Augie was able to put the game out of reach with a six run third inning. Prior to the third, the Marauders only trailed 3-1.

GAME 2 UMary 1 Augie 10
A pair of hits by Haley Berube led the way for the Marauders in game two against Augustana. Alvarado added to her homerun from game one with a double in game two. The Marauders were able to get on the board in the fourth when a Paige Matsuki single to center and knocked in Alvarado.
 
PIVOT POINT
Augustana jumped out to a hot start, taking a 6-0 lead in the first inning.
