UMary Men’s Soccer Heads To Sunshine State For Trio Of Games

LAKELAND, FL – The University of Mary men's soccer team heads to Florida for a trio of games against three opponents out of the Sunshine State Conference. The Marauders open up their road trip with a matchup against Florida Southern on Saturday, October 26 at 6 PM CST in Lakeland, FL. They follow that up with a midweek matchup on Wednesday, October 30 against Eckerd College at 6 PM in St. Petersburg, FL. UMary will conclude their southern road trip with a game against Saint Leo on Saturday, November 2 at 3 PM in Saint Leo, FL.
 
The Marauders go into the week with a 1-9-1 record.
 
Florida Southern comes into the game against the Marauders with a 3-4-4 record, owning a 1-1-2 record on their home pitch. The Marauders and Mocs met during the 2018 season with UMary falling by a score of 1-0. Lukas Billhardt recorded nine saves on the game.
 
Eckerd College comes into the week with a 6-5-2 record, owning a 4-3-2 record on their home pitch. The Tritons two draws have come against Nationally ranked teams. EC is led by Agustin Pertusso who has recorded 10 goals this season, tying him for tenth in the nation in goals scored.
 
Saint Leo comes into the week with a 6-6 record. The Lions know how to protect their home pitch, boasting a 4-1 record at home. Rederico Toschi leads the team in both goals (5) and points (12).
 
Tresor Mugawaneza leads all Marauders with four goals on the season. Adam Stringer and Luca Manzotti each have a pair of goals. Blake Palmquist, Zack Jensen, and Joseph Frediani all have recorded one goal.
 
Blake Palmquist leads the team with three assists on the year, Stanley Joseph and Mitch Carter are right behind him, each with two.
 
Evandro Henrique and Mugawaneza are tied for the team lead with 25 shots this season. Henrique holds the advantage in shots on goal with 12 with Mugawaneza having 10.
 
Lukas Billhardt earned the Marauders lone win of the season. He has recorded 38 saves on the season. Dawson Fairchild leads the team in saves with 40.
