The University of Mary volleyball team continues their home stand, hosting three games this week at the McDowell Activity Center. The Marauders open up on Tuesday, September 11, with in-state rival Minot State University at 7 pm. The Marauders then host the Huskies of Saint Cloud State University on Friday at 6 pm. UMary wraps up their home stand on Saturday, September 15, when the Marauders host the nation's 6th ranked team, the University of Minnesota Duluth.

The Marauders enter the week with an overall record of 3-7, 0-2 in NSIC play, having lost their past six games.

LAST TIME OUT
The last time the Marauders took the court was at their home opener against Minnesota State University Moorhead. The Marauders kept close but couldn't finish, dropping all three sets of the match. Earlier in the week, UMary took on national powerhouse, #2 Northern State. While the Marauders improved from an earlier match against the Wolves, they still fell in three sets.

OPPO RESEARCH – MINOT STATE
Minot State enters the game against the Marauders with a 5-5 record. The last time the Beavers played they put up an impressive performance against the nation's second ranked team, a 3-1 loss to Northern State. The Beavers were only the second team of the season to win a set against the Wolves. Despite a loss in four sets, Minot State had a very impressive showing in that game.

The last time the Marauders played the Beavers was in the 2017 season. The Marauders swept the Beavers in three straight sets with
Natalia Cruz recording eight kills and
Geovana Almeida recording a team-high 12 digs. UMary recorded an impressive 12 aces during this match.

OPPO RESEARCH – ST CLOUD STATE UNIVERSITY
The Huskies enter this week with a 6-2 record, winning five of their last six games, with a perfect 2-0 conference record thus far. The Huskies have been road warriors, playing matches in Hawaii, Michigan, and Minnesota.

The last time the Marauders took on the Huskies, it was during the 2017 season. The match was a back and forth thriller, going all five sets, with the Huskies winning in the end. Cruz recorded 12 kills in this match while Almeida recorded three aces and 19 digs.

OPPO RESEARCH – MINNESOTA DULUTH
The Bulldogs come into this week with an 8-2 record. UMD is the 6th ranked team in the nation so the Marauders will have their hands full. The Bulldogs are currently on a 4-game winning streak and are undefeated in conference play, having not lost a set.

The last time the Marauders took on the Bulldogs, it was during the 2017 season. The Bulldogs took the match winning in three straight sets. The Marauders held the advantage in aces in that match.

"SETTING" UP FOR SUCCESS
Sophomore,
Sydney Murphy continues to set the Marauders up for kill after kill. Murphy boasts an assist/set average to 8.67. She already has posted an impressive 312 assists in the young season.

"ACE" UP THE SLEEVE
The Marauders have posted an impressive 63 aces this season, compared to the opponents 51. The Marauders are led by none other than
Sydney Murphy with 17 aces on the season.
Geovana Almeida has an additional 12.

Breanna Donarski leads the team with 110 digs.
Natalia Cruz, posting 14 digs over the last two matches is now second on the team in digs with 89.

Morgan Schnabel has broken the triple digit mark for kills this season with 108 on the season for an average of 3 kills/set. Schnabel has 40 more terminations then the second-leading kill-getter on the team.
Anna Nietfeld has posted 68 kills on the season.
