Almeida’s junior season, she began specializing more on the defensive side of her game. Playing in 98 sets, she contributed 2.43 digs per set, 20 service aces and her career high of 319 total digs.
The daughter of Simone and Walter, Geovana plans on pursuing a degree in Mathematics at the University of Mary. Her full name is Geovana La Iglesia Almeida.
