Doll, Stevens help Marauders pile up hits but Peacocks claim the wins

FAYETTE, IA – Behind three-hit games from both Connor Doll and Travis Stevens, the University of Mary baseball team pounded out 22 hits in the Marauders day two Northern Sun doubleheader against Upper Iowa University.  Despite the offensive onslaught the Marauders were unable to match the Peacocks run production as Upper Iowa swept UMary 12-11 and 6-1.

The opener was a walkoff win for the second straight game by the Peacocks over the Marauders. It was also the third time in five games the Marauders had suffered a road loss to their opponents in the final inning. Additionally it was the Marauders fifth one-run loss this year.

Four of the Peacocks runs scored with two outs in the inning.
