Able to play multiple positions, Mason Huntley transferred to Mandan High School last spring and was an immediate contributor at catcher, on the mound and in the infield. Huntley hit .319 with a .421 on base percentage with 17 RBIs in 2016 and posted a 4-3 record with a 0.92 ERA and a .195 batting average against in 48 innings to earn team Pitcher of the Year honors. He also threw out 5-of-11 attempted base-stealers. Last summer for the Mandan Legion Team Huntley hit .309 with a .378 on base percentage with 18 RBIs. As a pitcher the righty was 2-6 with a 1.85 ERA in 53 innings. As a catcher he eliminated 9-of-36 attempted base-stealers.
 
The son of Jennifer and Daniel Huntley, who is the Marauders Associate Athletic Director, Mason is undecided on a major at the University of Mary.
 
" We are extremely excited to know that Mason is going to be in the family," said Marauders head coach Joel Barta. "We have been watching Mason for a long time, going back to his days in Iowa. Defensively his skills behind the plate are very advanced both receiving and throwing. We are not going to give up on him on the mound either. It will be a process to see how we combine the two but he will be a valuable piece to our future."
