OPPO RESEARCH – St. Cloud State

Earlier this month the Huskies were able to upset the #10 SMSU Mustangs in four sets. SCSU ranks second as a team in digs in the NSIC averaging 18.01 digs per set. This is largely due to Clara Krenz leading the NSIC in digs averaging 5.28 digs per set. Rachel Linsey averages 3.83 kills per set to rank her sixth in the conference.

"SETTING" UP FOR SUCCESS
The Marauders continue to exploit teams with a dual attack when it comes to setters. The duo of Sydney Murphy and Brittany Brusven had their best matches of the season over the past weekend. Murphy averaged 6 assists/set and Brusven averaged 4.6 assists/set. Sydney Murphy ranks 14th in the conference in assists, averaging 6.55 per set.

"ACE" UP THE SLEEVE
The Marauders rank 11th as a team in service aces in the NSIC. This is in part to having two Marauders ranking highly in the conference for individual service aces. NOT IN OUR HOUSE
Madison Bergthold continues to lead the Marauders with 45 blocks on the season, averaging 0.66 blocks per set. Harms is averaging 0.66 blocks per set in her 38 sets she has played this season. Her 0.66 blocks per set is tied for the team lead with Bergthold. Harms tied her career high of five blocks against Augustana, she previously set that record against defending national champs Concordia-St. Paul.

DIG IT UP, OH, OH
Outside hitter, Natalia Cruz took over as the leader of the team in digs averaging 3.20 digs/set. Cruz has been doing so well on defense that she made a position change to libero against SMSU and has continued in that position ever since. Almeida ranks second on the team in digs averaging 2.77 digs/set. Breanna Donarski has the second most recorded digs of the team with 236 on the season.
