The University of Mary Marauders return home for their last home stand of the season this weekend. The Marauders will first host Minnesota Crookston at 6 pm on Friday, October 26. They will follow that up with their second match of the weekend against Bemidji State at 11 am on Saturday, October 27.

THE RECORD
The Marauders hold a record of 3-21 overall with a 0-16 record in NSIC play.

LAST TIME OUT
The Marauders took a long road trip down south to take on Wayne State College and Augustana (SD) the last time they took the court. The Marauders struggled to get anything going against Wayne State falling in three straight sets. UMary would out dig the Wildcats 48-47 during the match. The Marauders would have big games by several athletes against Augustana but it was not enough to take them down, losing in three sets.
Morgan Schnabel would lead the team with ten kills,
Katja Berge would record nine kills and four blocks,
Bailey Harms would record a game high of five blocks and
Natalia Cruz would post a game high of 14 digs.

OPPO RESEARCH – Minnesota Crookston
The Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagles enter the match against the Marauders with a 4-20 record. Two of their four wins have come against conference opponents. UMary and Bemidji State are the two teams that the Golden Eagles have been able to overcome in conference play so far this season. The Golden Eagles have struggled on the road, posting a 1-9 record.

LAST MEETING
The Marauders came out very sluggish the last time they took on the Golden Eagles. UMary would fall in three straight sets (25-11, 25-16, 25-9). Crookston would play a tremendous game posting a .321 hitting percentage as a team compared to the Marauders .021.
Madison Bergthold would post a game high of two blocks during the match.

OPPO RESEARCH – Bemidji State
The Bemidji State Beavers enter the match against the Marauders with a 5-19 record. Two of their five wins have come against conference opponents. UMary and Minnesota Crookston are the two teams that the Golden Eagles have been able to overcome in conference play so far this season. Bemidji State started out the season hot, winning three of their first four games but have gone 2-18 since. The Beavers are currently on a ten game losing streak. BSU has struggled on the road so far this season going 1-9 in away matches. The Beavers Maddie Filipiak boasts a .307 hitting percentage on the season. Emma Hallmann ranks in the top ten for service aces in the NSIC averaging 0.38/set.

The Marauders took home their first set win in conference play the last time they took on the Beavers. The Marauders would fall in four sets (25-19, 25-15, 25-19, 25-17). The Marauders had both

"SETTING" UP FOR SUCCESS
The Marauders continue to exploit teams with a dual attack when it comes to setters. The Marauders have had
Brittany Brusven and
Sydney Murphy split time lately. During last weeks matches, Brusven has averaged 3.5 assists/set and Murphy has averaged 3.67 assists/set.
Sydney Murphy ranks 13th in the NSIC averaging 6.61 assists per set.

"ACE" UP THE SLEEVE
The Marauders rank 11th as a team in service aces in the NSIC. This is in part to having two Marauders ranking highly in the conference for individual service aces. Murphy ranks 13th with 0.36 aces/set and
Geovana Almeida ranks 16th (0.32). Murphy has recorded a team-leading 27 aces on the season. The Marauders have three other athletes who have recorded 15 or more aces. The list includes

NOT IN OUR HOUSE
Madison Bergthold continues to lead the Marauders with 45 blocks on the season, averaging 0.66 blocks per set. Freshman,
Bailey Harms has been seeing plenty of playing time late in the season and she has been taking full advantage of it. Harms is averaging 0.70 blocks per set in her 30 sets she has played this season. Her 0.70 blocks per set leads the team. Harms tied her career high of five blocks against Augustana, she previously set that record against defending national champs Concordia-St. Paul.

DIG IT UP, OH, OH
Outside hitter,
Natalia Cruz took over as the leader of the team in digs averaging 3.09 digs/set. Cruz has been doing so well on defense that she made a position change to libero against SMSU and has continued in that position ever since. Cruz recorded a game high of 14 digs against Augustana.
Breanna Donarski ranks second on the team in digs averaging 2.75 digs/set

ATTACK AND KILL
Morgan Schnabel has taken over the team lead in kills with 142 on the season. Schnabel also leads the team in kills per set (2.49).
Katja Berge has jumped into second on the team in kills with 131, averaging 1.98 kills/set.
Anna Nietfeld looks to break the 100 kills mark this weekend, she is currently sitting at 99 on the season.
Julianna Kari leads the Marauders in hitting percentage posting a .159.
