MOORHEAD, MN - In the opening meet of the season, the #6 University of Mary women's cross country team rolled to victory at the MSU Moorhead Dragon Twilight meet, easily outdistancing the nation's ninth ranked program. Five of the six top collegiate runners belonged to the Marauders.

Alexis Zeis dominated in her first race of her senior year. The 2015 national champion rampaged across the Randy Smith 4,000 meter course in 13:13.3 to win the race by over 47 seconds.

Jaiden Schuette claimed third in a scintillating time of 14:02.0, just 1.1 seconds out of second place.
Kaycie Stewart (14:06.0),
Rebekkah Bond (14.10.8) and
Bree Erickson (14:12.2) went 4-5-6 in team scoring at the eight team, 87 competitor competition.

The Marauders posted 19 points to easily outpace second place Minnesota Duluth. Ranked ninth in the country, the Bulldogs scored 47 points. Host MSUM was third with 111 points.
