Rebekkah Keller registered two hits for the University of Mary on the final day of the Hy-Vee Classic, providing half the offensive output for a Marauders team limited to four singles in two games. Mary lost the opener 5-0 to 9
th ranked Central Oklahoma and 5-3 to Northeastern State in a crossover tournament of teams in the NCAA Central Region.
The day opened with promise when Marauders leadoff hitter
Madison McGonigal led off the game with a single to center. It was the only hit of the game for the Marauders in the 5-0 loss to Central Oklahoma.
After the leadoff single, Bronchos hurler Jayden Chestnut allowed just two Marauders to reach the rest of the game;
Colleen Crutchfield on a walk in the fourth and Keller on an error in the third. Chestnut faced just 23 hitters, striking out eight in the complete game one-hitter.
The Bronchos scored all they needed in the second, crossing the plate twice. UCO added three more in the third to seal the win.
Taylor Lara pitched three scoreless innings of relief to extend her scoreless innings streak to 11.
Brooke Zukerman led UCO with three hits, two RBIs and a run scored. She also stole a pair of bases.
Lara, who continued in the circle to start the second game, saw her scoreless innings streak end at 12 when Northeastern State scored four times in the second inning of the Riverhawks 5-3 win.
Paige Gann led off the second inning with a solo home run. Not done in the second, NSU converted a Marauders error into three unearned runs for a 4-0 lead after two innings.
The Marauders battled back in the third, scoring three timed to pull within 4-3. A ground ball by

Lex Hubbard plus Lara came home on an error. A Crutchfield sacrifice fly followed scoring Keller with what proved to be Mary's final run of the day.
Riverhawks pitcher Jennifer Wolf grabbed control of the game, setting down the last 14 hitters of the game in order. She finished the day allowing just one earned run, three hits and no walks while striking out two in the complete game win.
Keller paced the Marauders with a pair of hits.
Stephanie Alvarez had the other single for Mary.
Madison Jahner pitched three scoreless innings for Mary, allowing two hits and striking out one.
Next up for the Marauders (6-19) is the Northern Sun opener at home against Minot State on March 28 at 2 pm.
