BISMARCK, N.D. – Looking to take advantage of a pleasant day forecasted for Wednesday, the University of Mary baseball squad has added a home date to its schedule. The Marauders will host Mayville State University in a non-conference doubleheader at 1 PM on March 26 at the U-Mary baseball field. Both games are schedule for seven innings.
 
The Marauders home opener comes earlier than anticipated. U-Mary was originally not scheduled to play at home until April 5.
 
The schedule opening occurred when weather conditions shortened the Marauders four-game set against Concordia – St. Paul down to a single doubleheader last weekend. U-Mary managed to fill its two newly-opened game slots by inviting former North Dakota College Athletic Conference and Dakota Athletic Conference foe Mayville State to campus. The two schools played last season for the first tine since 2006 with the Comets winning a pair of games played in Winner, SD.
 
The Marauders are 5-11 overall and 0-2 in the Northern Sun. A member of the North Star Athletic Association, the Comets are 16-7 overall.
 
U-Mary returns to NSIC action on March 29-30 at Winona State University.
