ABERDEEN, S.D. - Hannah Larson maintained her outstanding play, but she alone couldn't stop #5 Northern State University from dominating the match as the University of Mary Marauders fell 80-53 to the Wolves.
 
The Wolves opened up the match with a 17-2 run with 12:49 remaining in the first half and they wouldn't slow down from there. U-Mary fought tooth-and-nail, but couldn't get any momentum going as they struggled to close the gap in the half. The Marauder's smallest deficit came at the 1:32 mark as they narrowed the lead to 34-23, but Northern State ended the first half on a 7-0 run and U-Mary went into the break down 41-23.
 
The Marauders tried to build up a pace in the second half, but the Wolves wouldn't allow it as they continued to pour on the points, extending the lead to 55-33 at the first media break of the second half. Both teams would continually trade baskets from there and the Marauders eventually fell 80-53 to one of the top teams in the nation.
 
Larson finished the game with 15 points on 6-for-11 shooting from the field. She landed two shots from long range, grabbed three rebounds, and dished out two assists in 19 minutes played.
 
Dani Clarke kept up her usual production from beyond the arc, netting three out of nine three pointers in 20 minutes of action. Rachel Weir played a key role off the bench for the Marauders, grabbing seven rebounds in 23 minutes. Finally, Dani Williams was active on all ends of the court, dishing out four assists, grabbing three rebounds and netting four points in 24 minutes played.
 
The Marauders (3-5, 1-1 NSIC) will head over to Moorhead, Minn., tomorrow to take on Minnesota State University-Moorhead.
