Biography

2016-2017
Dani started all 31 games of the season. She averaged 8.6 points, 2.1 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game. A game high 6 rebounds in the game vs. Colorado Mines. She had a game high 7 assists vs. St. Cloud State University. Her toughness came through when she scored a season high and career high 23 points vs. Southwest Minnesota State. In the game against Southwest Minnesota State she knocked down two big threes in the overtime win. She finished the season with an 34.8% field goal percentage, 77% free throw percentage and shot an 34.8% from the three-point line. Williams was named to the All-Academic team at the end of the season. She was also nominated for female unsung from the University of Mary.
 
2015-2016
Dani started in 30 of the 31 games in the season. She played in 31 games over all. She averaged 10.2 points, 4.4 Rebounds, as well as 2.3 assists per game. She scored a season high 18 points vs. Minnesota Crookston, dished out a game high 5 assists in three different games, and grabbed down 12 rebounds two different times during the season. She also recorded a double double vs. Southwest Minnesota State grabbing 12 rebounds and scoring 11 points. For the season, she shot an 82.1% from the free throw line, 38.9% from the three-point line, and 37.7% from the field.
 
 
PRIOR TO UMARY
Dani Williams was a part of Campbell High School basketball, where she was a part of the team’s multiple 4A state title run. There she played for Mitch Holst. During her senior season, Williams averaged 10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals per game. Williams' individual efforts helped lead her school to a 4A East Conference Title and a third-place state finish. Her individual efforts were awarded as she was named First Team All-Conference and First Team All-State. During her high school career, she was a 3x all conference player, 2x All-State and 2x State champions.

Williams also competed in Track and Cross Country for two years in high school. Where she was also a state champion for track.
 
Williams, who maintains a 3.9 grade point average, is a member of the National Honor Society and received a degree in Athletic Training last spring. She is now in the graduate program and hopes to receive her CSCS certification this season. She is also a part of SAAC on campus at the University of Mary. She is the daughter of Renee Fritzen and Frosty Williams. She is a sister to Skyler Williams and Elisiah McCoy.
