Prepped at Lockport Township High school and played for Krista Peterson and Dan Kelly…Was a four-time letter winner and four-year starter for Lockport…Co-captain two years in a row…As a junior, she received All-Tournament, All-Area honorable mention, All-Area special team, All South West Suburban Blue Conference First team, All-Area second team, 22^nd Century Media Top 22 player, and was named to the South West Suburban Team…Received the Nicholas A. Morice award prior to her senior graduation…She was also named to the All-Tournament Team, All Area Special Mention Team and the Esmark All-American Award as a senior.
 
Laurel is the daughter of Michael and Joy Kucharski and a sister to twin brother, Michael, and Cara. Laurel is pursuing a degree in Business Finance. She is also a part of the National Honors Society and Student Mentor Program.
