Box Score Bismarck, ND – Alex Dorr set career highs in points and rebounds to lead the University of Mary to a 79-63 win over Mayville State University in the Marauders home opener. Four U-Mary players hit double figures in points.

In a meeting between two former conference foes, Dorr scored 20 points and hauled down 14 rebounds as the Marauders dominated the glass. The senior forward from Norwalk, IA, nearly equaled the Comets rebounding total of 17. U-Mary recorded 34 rebounds. Dorr rounded out his night with an 8-of-15 effort from the floor, hit all four free throws and added two assists.

Josh Turner scored 15 of his 16 points after intermission, draining five treys after the break. Mike Johnson added 10 points and set a career mark with nine assists.

The Comets led by as many as five points before an 11-2 run by the Marauders to close out the first half pushed U-Mary ahead 34-29. Maslonkowski scored seven of the points and Dorr the other four during the run.

Behind a barrage of three pointers from Turner, the Marauders moved ahead by double digits before the 14 minute mark of the second half. Mayville State closed to within six but a 13-2 U-Mary run pushed the Marauders lead to 17 and would remain in double digits the rest of the evening.
